That fight was nothing more than a farce. He nearly killed me, but I am fine. That person has been taken down by the efforts of myself and others. He is lucky that we did not cleave his head from his shoulders, but perhaps... he will wish we did one day.

[“He nearly killed me” is not a statement Konoha expects to hear followed up with “I am fine”. She’d known she’d be a burden in that arena, so she’d gotten free of it as soon as possible, hadn’t watched the final fight...

Why wouldn't it be easy for us? Even my half-brother is capable of healing from being run through. What happened to me is nothing I couldn't recover from. [ So long as he was given chroma, anyway. ]

Well, there are wolves here, just not the one that bit me... that was in my own world.

I work on the mountains so sometimes there’s wolves, or bears...

And I heard some people become half wolf when the moon changes?

Yes, that is something that supposedly happens. [ He's yet to suffer that, however, but boy, he's going to be real stoked when it happens. ]

Do you like the mountains? [ There is no point in asking her why she works somewhere so dangerous. If she couldn't, she wouldn't, right? ]

Of course! It’s hard work up there, and sure there’s some dangers, but the pay is good, I can get home early enough to help with dinner, and there’s always something beautiful no matter what season it is... and I like the sounds. Especially bush warblers.

[She sort of imagined most demons lived deep in the mountains and forests, actually-]

I have no complaints with them. [ He's spent time on mountains, in fields, in forests, in many places. There aren't many locations that he has issues with -- save those close to humans where they wish to meet their end by his blade. But eh, details. ]

Fireflies are easily seen. [ A sudden comment, but he remembers Rin being fascinated by them whenever they happened to come across them. Apparently, they're a novelty? Or something to be enjoyed? ]

I do prefer them. I have not been in any domicile for longer than a day. I did not even accept one of their "apartments" when they offered it. [ HE'S A HOBO! AS ALWAYS! ]

So eating there is fine.
